Azeroth Survivors Warlock build

Compare the warlock starting spell, three talent trees and conditional choices before editing a route.

Editorial starting idea · Not tested in a completed run

Azeroth Survivors Warlock build reference for v0.131.0: The documented default opener is Shadow Bolt. Affliction spreads ongoing effects, Demonology supplies distinct summons, and Destruction connects particular fire and bolt interactions. Pick the mechanism you want to complete first. Set your actual point budget before reviewing the route; a later starting-skill change may not exist at an early checkpoint.

The planning idea

Pick the mechanism you want to complete first. A DoT idea needs enemies to remain alive long enough for ticks and transfer triggers. A summon idea must identify which summon is enabled and what supports it.

Early decisions

A late Demonology recording is not a low-point shopping list. In the snapshot, Soul Devourer and Soul Link exclude one another. Check the actual branch and current game before borrowing an allocation.

Choices & alternatives

For Affliction, distinguish applying a DoT from spreading it after a kill. For Destruction, inspect whether Immolate or another prerequisite spell is actually in the planned setup. The current client calls the capstone Pact of the Nathrezim. Pact of the Annihilan is an old label retained only as a compatible record identifier, not a second talent.

Equipment conditions

Mark summon- or spell-specific equipment as a condition, then keep a replacement if you do not own it. Avoid treating all Shadow or Fire labels as interchangeable scaling.

When the plan falls short

Large damage after a wave has developed can hide a weak opening. Summon names and capstone labels may also differ between catalog and live patches.

Is the first enemy carrying the effect your route needs?

Azeroth Survivors Warlock build begins with Shadow Bolt, but later routes can add starting skills or depend on an applied damage-over-time effect. Affliction’s Nightfall links Shadow Bolt to Corruption and a later trigger; Contagion transfers named effects after a death; Seed of Corruption adds Corruption at the start while retaining Shadow Bolt and adds another death condition. Separate applying the effect from spreading it. A transfer cannot help a target that never received the required condition.

For a first comparison, note the opening seconds and the later isolated phase independently. An established wave can provide more deaths and transfer targets than the start or final boss. The source text supports that distinction, but it does not supply the time needed to establish your actual run. Record the chosen spells with the talent route rather than assuming that every DoT is present.

Name the summon instead of counting a generic pet bonus

Demonology contains distinct summons and explicit exclusions. Soul Devourer supplies a Felhunter with its own conditions; Soul Link supplies a Voidwalker and a shield relationship. They exclude one another. Legion Gate is another summon system, while Pact of the Nathrezim and Butcher are mutually exclusive capstones. A useful draft names the actual summon and its enabling choice, rather than treating all demon-related descriptions as simultaneous benefits.

The current name is Pact of the Nathrezim. The old Annihilan identifier remains for record compatibility, not as an additional talent. If reviewing an older shared plan, inspect the current displayed name, prerequisite and exclusion before saving a current copy. This review is about the chosen fields, not proof that a summon’s complete combat behavior has been measured.

Check the fire package without losing its prerequisite

Destruction’s Conflagrate adds Immolate at the start while retaining Shadow Bolt and connects Shadow Bolt or Searing Pain hits on Immolated enemies to an explosion. Improved Searing Pain names Searing Pain and Immolate; Rain of Chaos has its own Rain of Fire condition. Keep the intended spell and target condition together instead of equating every Shadow or Fire label with identical scaling.

When comparing two drafts, preserve zone, difficulty, gear and points, then change one connected mechanism. Record whether the failure happened before summons or ongoing effects were established, while moving, or against the isolated target. Those observations help revise a Warlock plan without inventing a summon damage total, a universal capstone winner or a completed-run benchmark.

Azeroth Survivors Warlock build · questions

What is Warlock’s documented starting ability?

The documented default opener is Shadow Bolt. Affliction spreads ongoing effects, Demonology supplies distinct summons, and Destruction connects particular fire and bolt interactions.

Which problem should this build solve?

Pick the mechanism you want to complete first. A DoT idea needs enemies to remain alive long enough for ticks and transfer triggers. A summon idea must identify which summon is enabled and what supports it.

A late Demonology recording is not a low-point shopping list. In the snapshot, Soul Devourer and Soul Link exclude one another. Check the actual branch and current game before borrowing an allocation.

Which spell interactions should stay connected?

For Affliction, distinguish applying a DoT from spreading it after a kill. For Destruction, inspect whether Immolate or another prerequisite spell is actually in the planned setup. The current client calls the capstone Pact of the Nathrezim. Pact of the Annihilan is an old label retained only as a compatible record identifier, not a second talent.

How should I account for missing gear?

Mark summon- or spell-specific equipment as a condition, then keep a replacement if you do not own it. Avoid treating all Shadow or Fire labels as interchangeable scaling.

Has this build been tested as a guaranteed clear?
