Azeroth Survivors Hunter build reference for v0.131.0: The documented default opener is Auto Shot. Marksmanship develops shot interactions; Beast Mastery adds companions; Survival gives traps a more central role. Decide what you need the build to do when a dangerous enemy reaches you. Set your actual point budget before reviewing the route; a later starting-skill change may not exist at an early checkpoint.
The planning idea
Decide what you need the build to do when a dangerous enemy reaches you. Range gives room to move, but a distant-target plan still needs a route through the crowd and a way to keep attacks reaching the intended target.
Early decisions
For a shot-focused idea, preserve useful early attacks before pursuing Kill Shot, which adds Aimed Shot at the start while retaining Auto Shot. Piercing shots, repeated-shot triggers and the capstone reset are separate conditions, not one loop already available at low points.
Choices & alternatives
A pet route should name the summon it has actually unlocked. A trap route should explain where traps appear and what happens when you leave their area. These are alternatives to test, not automatic upgrades to every ranged build.
Equipment conditions
Use known gear as a condition on the plan. If a shared build depends on a missing item, keep an alternative and make the missing piece a progress target.
When the plan falls short
A kill-reset or explosion loop can look strong in a crowd yet contribute differently when only a boss remains.
Load starting idea
Starting ideas are editable editorial drafts based on source-checked fields, not completed-run benchmarks.
Evidence
Editorial idea, not a damage ranking. Compare a crowded section and the final isolated target separately, with the same gear and point budget. Current-client text and rules do not replace that test.
